We are excited to announce that starting August 16, 2017, we will officially be launching a middle school service in the Basement and a high school service in the Worship Center.
BECAUSE WE BELIEVE THE MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL PHASES ARE UNIQUE…AND THEY BOTH MATTER.
We are excited to announce that we have transitioned Coleman Swain to work with our middle school students! Coleman has been serving for the past few years as our Zone 45 Director and has done a fantastic job.Coleman will be dedicated to our middle school students and overseeing the middle school ministry under the direction of Brandon Starnes, our Student Pastor.
These services will begin thirty minutes earlier than our previous time.
Middle School Service
(Grades 6th - 8th)
The Middle School service will meet in the basement on Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. This service is specifically designed with middle schoolers in mind. It's a weekly teaching environment for 6th–8th grade students. Each week, students will experience a combination of music, games, teaching, and interaction with a dedicated group of adult leaders and their peers.
Our hope for the middle school ministry is to help middle schoolers experience three things: wonder for who God is, discovery of who He created them to be, and passion for loving others. Everything we offer is designed to help middle schoolers begin to take ownership of their faith through these three basic truths:
- I will love God because He will never stop loving me.
- I will follow Jesus because He knows me better than I know myself.
- I will live out God’s story so others can know who Jesus is.
High School Service
(Grades 9th - 12th)
The high school service is a large group environment designed with the high schooler in mind. This service will meet in the worship center on Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Our goal is to make this time as fun and relevant as we possibly can.
Two things we believe are essential for high schoolers: we pay attention to what’s going on in their lives, and we care about them. These two things happen in our small group environment. Every week after large group, high schoolers will get together with their small group to spend time in a more intimate setting, talking, processing, and praying about what’s going on in their lives.
It’s simple: big group to small group. The goal is for students to leave feeling energized to go out there and tackle another week!
The Schedule Format For Both Services
- 5:45pm Students arrive & hang out
- 6:00pm Big Group begins
